The SBS starts from Hotel Montra Skaga in Hirtshals in Denmark and finishes in Kristiansand in Norway. The route can be seen here and be downloaded from here. Please notice that the route can be modified until start if circumstances necessitate it.

Transport options to Hirtshals and parking during SBS

From Aalborg Airport

Tickets can be purchased at www.rejseplanen.dk or at ticketing machines at the stations. Payment by credit card. No ticket sale at the trains.

Train from Aalborg Airport to Hirtshals/Lilleheden with change to local train at Lindholm station. 

Train towards Hjørring and Frederikshavn. Change at Hjørring Station to local train to Hirtshals/Lilleheden.

From Lilleheden station there is approximately 200 m to Hotel Montra Skaga.

From Frederikshavn

Local train towards Aalborg, change in Hjørring towards Hirtshals.

Local trains have plenty of room for bikes.

National train (IC and IC lyn)

You will need to buy tickets for yourself and the bike cycle. Notice: There are only a few places for bikes on each train.

At Aalborg station change to local train towards Frederikshavn and change in Hjørring towards Hirtshals/Lilleheden

 Bus from Copenhagen to Aalborg

Kombardo Expressen, busterminal Carsten Niebuhrs Gade 30-32, 1577 København V. The bus goes via the ferry Odden - Aarhus to the bus terminal at Aalborg.

From the bus terminal in Aalborg there is approximately 200 m to the train station with local trains towards Hirtshals with change of train in Hjørring as directed above.

The tickets must be purchased online. There is room for 2 bikes pr. bus. 

Train busses

Occasionally there can be train busses applied with the option bringing prams, wheel chairs and bikes. Space is limited and prams and wheel chairs are prioritised. The staff at the train and the bus driver will help you to get you to the destination.

Parking during SBS

Hotel Montra Skaga provides free parking during the stay at the hotel. Ask for registration of parking at the reception. During SBS you can park at the hotels parking lot by paying a fee. Ask at the reception.

There is free parking at the parking lot on the other side of Willemoesvej.

Ferries from Kristiansand to Hirtshals

• www.colorline.dk. Saling time: 3:15. Online booking of cars.

Both ferry lines have several departures every day.

Please notice that accommodations at Hotel Montra Skaga the night before SBS starts is included in the fee.
