Nature

There are plenty of good beaches on both sides of Hirtshals.

There are both north and south of Hotel Skaga beautifully marked hiking and cycling routes predominantly with gravel surface. MTB and other bikes can be rented at www.hirtshalscykler.dk.

There is eagle sanctuary at Eagleworld Skagenvej 107, 9881 Bindslev. www.eagleworld.dk

On the way to Skagen yuo’ll find Råbjerg Mile, which is a large dune.

South of Hirtshals you’ll find Rubjerg Knude Fyr.

Close to Hirtshals Light House you’ll find bunkers from WW2.

Hjørring is a cozy city (now the largest city in Vendsyssel). There are many shops and cafes.

Vendsyssel Art Museum is located in a closed clothing factory, www.vkm.dk. The museum is placed at a square, Nørkjærs Plads, with a small sculpture park (Bjørn Nørgaard)
